Religious leader. He founded the International Megiddo Church in 1880. In 1901 he led the original 90-strong Megiddo Band from Paducah, Kentucky, on a Mississippi steamboat to preach the gospel at river towns. In 1904 the missionaries settled in Rochester, New York, where they established their international headquarters. Rev. Nichols headed the Church until his death.
